Making a One-Time Euro Bill Payment at the Banking Center

A pre-printed form, "Überweisungsauftrag", accompanies most bills you receive (from Germany only). This form contains the information needed to correctly process your payment and ensure proper credit to the beneficiary. We strongly recommend the use of these pre-printed forms. Follow these helpful tips for completing your payment:

  • Please have your Überweisungsauftrag forms completed and signed before approaching the teller window.
  • Write legibly using block CAPITAL letters within the allotted spaces. Do not use dashes, "X"s, or cross out letters — doing so may cause delays or rejects.
  • The transfer details must be specific. Review your bill carefully to determine what the company wants you to reference with your payment. If in doubt, bring the bill to your local Community Bank and we will happily assist you.
  • Non-account holders: please print your APO address on the back of the pre-printed or blank form.
  • Be sure to sign and date the form and include your daytime phone number in case there is a problem with the payment.
  • If you do not have a pre-printed form, use the blank forms found in the lobby of your Community Bank. When using the blank forms, fill out ALL applicable fields to ensure prompt and proper processing.
  • You will need to fill in your IBAN and BIC number on blank forms. Find out more about them below.
  • Incorrect or missing details will cause delays or rejects.
  • The average processing time is three business days from the date you request the transfer. Be sure to account for local holidays which may delay your payment.

We are here to assist all Service members, whether or not you have an account with Community Bank. If you have any questions or need personal assistance, please ask your local Community Bank associate who will walk you through the process until you are comfortable handling it on your own.
